The issue of unprofessional behaviors in the patient care setting has become an important problem because of the safety of patients in hospitals is now a highly publicized issue. Miscommunication or non-communication as result of fear, anger or simple irritability could cause our next error that leads to patient harm. Intimidating and disruptive behaviors can foster medical errors, contribute to poor patient satisfaction and preventable adverse outcomes, increase the cost of care, and cause qualified clinicians, administrators, and managers to seek new positions in more professional environments.

Suggested Audience: All hospital staff, volunteers and students working within healthcare facilities including, but not limited to: Physicians, Providers, IT Support, Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Emergency Department, Billing, Patient Access, Dietary, Housekeeping, and other Ancillary Service Departments. Also EMTs/Paramedics, Guest Services, Therapy, Activity and Administration Departments
