HomeTown Health is pleased to serve as the manager of the Iowa SHIP Grant Program in partnership with the Iowa Department of Health & Human Services. Hospitals who have attested and opted for Direct Award through the Iowa Department of Health & Human Services for Year 2024-2025 have the following responsibilities throughout this year:

• Submit Direct Award Agreement by July 26, 2024.
• Submit Quarterly Reports (while project is active). If you finish your project in Q2, you will have an option to submit final as part of the Q2 report. Once you submit the 'completed' report, in any quarter, no other reports are required.

Please Note:  If your facility would like to change out of 'direct award' to Consortium Participation, you must declare that change by July 26, 2024. Any facility that does not complete their letter of agreement for direct funds by July 26th will be moved into the Consortium.

SHIP Allowable Expenses

Hospitals may utilize Direct Funds for allowable expenses only.
