IOWA DATA INNOVATION PROJECTS
HomeTown Health and other partners have joined together to compile data available from numerous sources and ask industry experts to help make it meaningful and useful to Consortium hospitals. The purpose of the Data Innovation Project is to utilize the wealth of data available on hospitals participating in the Consortium and to translate the data into something timely, useful, meaningful and innovative. Partners were challenged to tell a “statistical story” that will be helpful to its audience. The following white papers and recommendation reports help to identify shared hospital needs, and provides recommending action items to address them. The data included both quality of care information as well as financial information, most of which was provided from hospital cost reports.
