Large or small, rural or urban— a community’s hospital is a cornerstone to its quality of life. Key to the ongoing success of any hospital in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare industry is the leadership and governance provided by its board members, trustees, and senior management. Additionally, rural hospitals face unique challenges that require active governance and leadership by prepared members who understand the hospital environment and keep pace with the industry’s changes. With these needs in mind, the Georgia General Assembly implemented a training requirement for rural hospital executives, board members and hospital authority members in 2018.
HomeTown Health is pleased to offer its Hospital Board & Leadership (HBL) Training Program for rural hospitals that is certified by the Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center as having satisfied the training requirements found in O.C.G.A. § 31-2-16. In addition to meeting Georgia Standards, many courses within the HTH Hospital Board & Leadership (HBL) Training Program are also accredited by IACET.org, allowing participants to receive continuing education units that meet the highest international best practice ANSI/IACET standards.
