Health Science Education Student Resources
Welcome Students & Instructors! This site was developed to provide resources to the students in high school Healthcare Science programs in Georgia involved in the Healthcare Science Education Program Industry Certification Process from the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) division of the Georgia Department of Education. Schools/districts who are currently undergoing HSE Industry Certification have the opportunity to utilize these courses for their students during their certification/recertification year at no cost. Other school programs are invited to directly subscribe for access for their students!
Hometown Health offers a variety of relevant courses for Healthcare Science teachers to offer students. These courses help students understand the importance of healthcare policies and procedures. The credentials that are acquired are critical for Work Based Learning students to participate in Healthcare Internships across the community they interact with. HIPAA, Infection Control, and PPE guidelines are taught in class, mastered with practical activities, and credentialed through HTHU!

Student Experience
Students will completed online courses that are designed at the same level as industry-specific training for healthcare professionals. Students must complete all the educational training materials, pass assessments with an 80% or higher and complete an evaluation for each course. Completed courses offer a certificate of completion for printing/download that can be added to student resumes and/or portfolios.
