Infection Prevention: COVID and Current Recovery Processes - Part I

Infection prevention remains a constant need and priority throughout healthcare. With recent events, such as the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has become ultimately clear that there is still a strong need to develop preventative measures that will work to protect healthcare facilities, staff, and patients that utilize health services during these high risk times. This presentation provides a lot of information prompted by these high priority needs. Attendees will learn what current infection prevention practices to incorporate into their daily processes to decrease the overall chance of exposure to staff and patients. Also, they will learn how to utilize care coordination through identified continuum of care partners to maintain quality care and engagement with all their patients, as well as maintaining revenue opportunities.

Infection Prevention: COVID-19 and Future Healthcare Preparations Part II

Infection prevention remains a constant need and priority throughout healthcare. With recent events, such as the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has become ultimately clear that there is still a strong need to develop preventative measures that will work to protect healthcare facilities, staff, and patients that utilize health services during these high risk times. This course is Part II of II and will discuss the emotional needs of patients, family, and medical staff during and following outbreaks such as COVID-19. The subject matter expert will also discuss opportunities to improve ED workflows during a time of high volumes of infectious disease patient presentations, adjusting our approach to infection control for future outbreaks or pandemics, and the importance of building a community plan.
